Injection moulding by gas injection

Gas injection is a technique that allows DPI to manufacture hollow or partially hollow plastic products.

Characteristic of this technique is the short throughput cycle time and the low material and process costs.

More about this injection moulding technique

By using the gas injection technique, DPI injection moulds hollow products. It’s a process of plastic and nitrogen. During the injection moulding process the nitrogen is injected. The gas presses the plastic against the walls of the mould, thus creating the cavity. The nitrogen then exits the product. The hollow product is very strong and solid thanks to the shape, without adversely affecting the lead-time.

After-treatment

If desirable, the product can be given a post-processing treatment. For example, adding an in-line label to the product or performing surface treatment. DPI can take care of the assembly, packaging and logistics of products.
